This study (and “study” is an apt term for what we will be doing together) will be intended to inform and stretch us a bit, recognizing that transformation sometimes happens because we are challenged to grow by putting in some effort. We will look at Scripture, but the study will dig a bit deeper than we often do, answering questions and discussing issues about the biblical text that would probably never come to light in a Sunday morning sermon. Rather than just looking at the meaning and application of the texts we study, we will also look at how we reach our understandings of biblical texts. It could be thought of as “Bible College Light.”
